Pictured at the presentation
of a cheque for 1,000 by the team behind the 2007 Bray Summerfest Air
Display to the Chernobyl Childrens Project were (from left) Sé
Pardy of Millennium Promotions and Bray Summerfest Air Display Director, Damien
Meaney of the Chernobyl Children's Project, and Bray Summerfest Directors Mick
Glynn and Jason Cooke, along with seven-year-old Lisa Grigorevich from Vesnova
Province in Belarus.
Lisa, who travelled to Bray over the summer, is
currently staying in the seaside town while undergoing vital life-enhancing
medical treatment here in Ireland, the costs associated for which run to tens
of thousands of euro. The donation from the Bray Summerfest Air Display will go
to help support Lisa's ongoing medical treatment.
The funds were raised
from the sale of the special commemorative brochure for the recent Air Display,
which was attended by over 15,000 spectators. The 48-page special commemorative
brochure was produced for Bray Summerfest by Flying in Ireland Magazine, in
association with Air Display Director Sé Pardy of Millennium
Promotions.
